We were advancing then.
Now, with all of the science and the medical breakthroughs made... People say we're "moving forward."
But then I think... If natural selection was trying to eliminate these diseases to begin with, are we not moving backwards by masking them with "cures?" I mean, we can't totally get rid of these diseases, most of them are hereditary... Cancer, heart attacks, strokes... They're all passed down generation from generation for the most part... So why are we covering it up and making more people suffer? Creating more ill people that healthy people... I don't see that as advancing, do you? I think we're going backwards... We're going completely against nature when this time nature wants to help us...
I understand that loved ones with diseases and problems want to be fixed, a majority of the time, but does that really make sense? Maybe I'm just being totally cynical, "KILL THE WEAK," but that's not what I'm saying... Think what you want, but if you know of a health risk problem, why breed and pass it on? Think of how many more people will DIE because of you... And yes, I'm aware we all die... But die from diseases that can be ended if we just stop passing them on through our genes...
I don't really know where I'm going with this anymore, so I'm just going to stop here....
But really.... Are we moving forward or falling behind?
You know where I stand, what do you think?

There is no meaning in our world
And no meaning in us who live there
We, meaningless, think of the world
Although knowing that there is no meaning there
Is even meaningless itself
